
Role Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for shaping new Software-as-aService (SaaS) implementation projects, capturing requirements, managing projects through delivery, tracking budget, scope, and timeline, removing blockers and maintaining positive client and team relationships.
The ideal candidate brings many of the following qualifications
Three (3) or more years of business analysis experience in an Agile setting
Three (3) or more years managing software implementation projects in an Agile environment (scrum, scrum-ban, kanban, etc.)
Energized by working on multiple projects concurrently
Patience and persistence to clarify the problem before stepping into the solution space
Experience with SaaS projects: what functions are included off-the-shelf, what can be configured or extended with custom code.
Experience with one or more SaaS platforms
Interest and excitement to work with a small but powerful team of cross-functional consultants
Strong user story writing, process diagramming, and requirements-gathering skills
Experience with test planning and leading clients through user acceptance testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to set priorities and flexibility to reset them daily as client needs shift
Ability to stay calm under pressure
Experience forming lasting relationships of trust with team members
Demonstrated ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
Strong service mentality focused on client satisfaction
Typical Activities
Facilitate new project kick-off meetings
Collaborate on solution design
Prepare Scope & Project Plans
Write stories to fill the Jira backlog
Track budgets.
Prepare recommendations for controlling scope, timeline, and budget, and negotiate professionally with client sponsors when adjustments are necessary.
Collaborate closely with team members to identify & clear blockers.
Schedule regular client status meetings, prepare agenda, take notes, provide notes and follow up actions.

Compensation & Term
Hourly rate as a 1099 Independent Contractor or Corp2Corp between $75-$90/hour, depending on qualifications.
Initial contract length of 6 months with potential for extensions
This could be a 100% remote position (prefer in the Chicago office one day per week)
