Katherine Halbig

Kat joined Highland in 2021. She has over eight years experience in design and three years in user experience consulting. In the past she’s worked on enterprise products for the customer service, finance, healthcare, and construction industries. Kat is eager to learn and loves interacting with others, which led her to obtain a master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from DePaul University. Her favorite part of the process is seeing assumptions/hypotheses being flipped and pursuing the route that others really need. Outside of work Kat teaches a user research and design course at her undergraduate university.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing Monster Hunter or Stardew Valley with her husband while trapped by a cat in her lap and chatting with her small parrot or crafting her next cosplay project.
